Q: We are flying on 9th October from gatwick to heraklion to join our ocean village cruise. Over the last few months I have noticed complaints regarding the planes being used. It states on our tickets TXC 709K. Can anyone tell me if this will be a thomas cook plane.

Nothing wrong with the planes, but just keep your fingers crossed on the way back that you are not diverted to Cardiff, as happened to us. We enjoyed a very pleasant 2 weeks cruise in May 08 but unfortunately our journeys home took an extra 8 hours due to the diversion, which was for "operational reasons" No offer of refreshments was made by Thomas Cook, either at Cardiff airport where we spent over 2 hours waiting for coaches, or at our stop on the M4 at Membury apart for a bottle of water. Our son, who was collecting us at Gatwick also had to make 2 trips of around 70 miles to collect us between 4 pm and midnight. So far no offer of any sort from Thomas Cook for even the extra expense involved although Ocean Village have kindly offered to consider claims,if recipts are provided.
