Just back from a great cruise on Ocean Village, flight to Crete was very cramped and slightly delayed but transfer to ship was well organsed and baggage arrived in our cabin very soon after arrival. Cabins on Ocean Village are larger than most modern ships and well appointed. All staff on board were very friendly and helpful. We didn't particularly like the freestyle dining, mainly because it doesn't give the opportunity to meet other passengers, everybody seems to head for an empty table and eat on their own. The restaurant was closed when all the tables were in use, dispite the fact that the majority of tables had empty spaces. We would have been very happy to share a table rather than wait in a queue. We booked into La Luna for the majority of evening meals which was excellent, varied menu, excellent service all for a small cover charge.
The entertainment has vastly improved since our last cruise on OC, with guess entertainers and a talented resident team. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this ship to those looking for an informal, laidback cruise.
