The best bit of the holiday was that the flight home was delayed a day and we were put up in a luxurious all inclusive hotel in Montego Bay! We then had to fly back via Gander in Canada, and touched down in Manchester just 3 1/2 hours later!
We were fortunate enough to spend Christmas '07 and New Year on OV1. Having done a transatlantic with them in previous years, we couldn't wait to get back on.
What can i say, all standards in all areas were very poor in comparison. Food...bad. Entertainment...dreadful (anyone that saw Johnny Drongo will know what i'm going on about!), all the shows were very poor and the only good bit was New Years Eve on top deck with Tina Turner and the Four Tops (Original of course...not!)
And i guess it didn't help but the weather was awful and seldom came back home with a tan (but i guess thats not their fault.)
A few good ports in Ocho Rios, Costa Rica and Grand Caymen, the rest were pretty poor! Oh well... am booked on the Aurora 2009 World Cruise so fingers crossed for better!
