this was our second cruise with OV last one 2 years ago doing western med. We did every excursion (booked prior to leaving), apart from Crete, which we did alone. The cabin B deck was excellent, had A deck previously and was a little noisy, this time no noise at all, spotlessly clean at all times. Food excellent as before, we ate in Plantation for breakfast and lunch, we always ate in Waterfront in evening, then if we were still peckish had a late supper in Plantation - hot dog or burger and chips, or occasionally curry, we both have put on an extra few pounds for the proof of how good it was. There were many moaners, we just couldn't understand why - if they had wanted a starchy formal cruise why on earth did they choose this cruise? - we guessed it was the itinerary, as no other cruise line did this one. Our total cost of trips was £820, only one included lunch, and we both agree were worth every penny, doing it on your own is not always the best way, we did not want to miss on anything like we did before, the history is amazing and we shall be talking about this holiday for months. Anyone who wants a relaxed cruise, good choice of food, friendly staff and good excursions then get booking, you will not be disappointed, but do not compare to the PRINCESS or ROYAL CARRIBEAN it is not the same.

All were fantastic, Santorini with lunch was excellent value, lovely wine and food, could not have been booked in a better restaurant after the wine tasting, bought 2 bottles of wine which we kept in our cabin. The Robolo wine visit in Cefalonia also excellent and the wine did not get confiscated by the ship either
Staff5
Our cleaner was very friendly and extremely hard working

I am a little confused as to how the itinerary, which is excellent, as I did it last year, has anything to do with--- quote-- " if they wanted a starchy formal cruise why on earth did they choose this one?--we guessed it was the itinerary" end of quote. Surely the itinerary plays a major part in your choice of cruise and if it happens to be on OV,which is ok, then so be it.If people, who like "starchy formal" cruises were moaning, let me tell you that it wouldn't be the itinerary that they were unhappy with. By the way,"formal" cruises are not "starchy" try one and see, you will be pleasantly suprised.
